Orthodontics

The goal of orthodontic treatment is to prevent and correct bite irregularities caused by various factors. It’s recommended to consult an orthodontic specialist during the mixed dentition period, thus the eruption of the permanent teeth can be monitored closely. At this age, the dynamic growth of the facial bones allows for more effective correction of skeletal discrepancies using conservative methods.

If left untreated, bite misalignments can lead to several long-term issues, such as abnormal strain and pain in the jaw joint, increased risk of tooth decay, and periodontal disease due to improper tooth positioning.

Even in the absence of early orthodontic care, bite anomalies caused by childhood neglect or gum disease can still be treated effectively in adulthood. At our clinic, Dr. Gergely Lőrincz provides both pediatric and adult orthodontic care, using a wide range of methods: functional appliances (for children), traditional fixed braces, appliances anchored with mini-implants, and removable (invisible) aligners — all aimed at creating a harmonious, aesthetic, and functional bite.
